Girl Meets Glitter

November 2014 Ipsy Glam Bag

Today I received my November Ipsy Glam Bag in the mail!  If you're not familiar with Ipsy, it is a $10 monthly beauty subscription service.  You take the quiz on the website and it will generate your style/preference and send you about 4-5 deluxe and/or full-size beauty products based on your results.  Each month's bag has a different "theme," and this month was "Girl Meets Glitter."
The bag I received this month was a decent size, glittery, and had a contrasting pink zipper.

The first item in my bag was the Be Delectable Ultra Nourishing Hand Creme by the brand Cake Beauty.  The one I received was Strawberries & Cream, and let me tell you, it smells just like strawberries and cream!  So yummy!

The second item in my bag was from GlamGlow and it was the Powermud Dual Cleanse Treatment.  If you haven't tried any of the GlamGlow products, you are really missing out!  They have different masks targeted towards different needs, but I have tried almost all and really love them. They can be a little pricey, but you can always go into your local Sephora and ask for a sample so you can try before you buy.

The third item in my bag was a creme eye base from Be A Bombshell Cosmetics.  I received the color "Submissive."  It is very similar to the MAC Paint Pots (which I love), but I will have to try this out and see how well it performs.  The color is gorgeous and it retails for $14 on their website.

The fourth item I received was from J.Cat Beauty and it was their "Wonder Lip Paint" in the color "Mad Splatter."  I had seen this product before at Ulta and it instantly made me think of the O.C.C. Lip Tars. These however, do not include a lip brush, but they are only $4.99, so I think that's something you could look past.  I have heard that these aren't on the same level of the Lip Tars, but I'll have to try it out and see how it wears.

The fifth (and last) item I received was from the brand Starlooks, and it was their Gem Eye Pencil in the shade "Ultra Orchid."  The color was a deep purple shade with glitter specks in it.  This will be gorgeous on the waterline and of course anywhere else on the eye!

Once you receive your Glam Bag for the month, you can then go on Ipsy's website and rate the products you received to help them narrow down your preferences even more for your next bag(s).  Also, if you end up loving one of the products you receive and want to buy the full-size version or a replacement, they will have promo codes to give you a discount on the company's website.  I definitely think this is one of the best monthly beauty subscriptions. Not only do you get your money's worth in products, you get a cute little makeup bag each month and the opportunity to try out new products from both well-known and indie makeup brands.  I definitely give Ipsy a THUMBS-UP!  If you are a current subscriber, what did you end up getting in your bag?
