MAC Blue Brown Pigment

MAC Blue Brown Pigment

I've been hooked on MAC eyeshadows for years now, but it wasn't until earlier this year that I started purchasing their pigments.  So far, there are 45 pigments that are a part of MAC's permanent line, so there are definitely a lot of colors to choose from!  Furthermore, there are many different ways that you can use these pigments, such as eyeliner, highlighter, etc.

I had actually swatched this color at my local MAC counter and immediately fell in love! Blue Brown is a stunning shade that has a sort of "duo-chrome" effect, basically meaning that you can see the different shades in this one color when you look at it from different angles.  Applied dry, the pigment has a nice subtle color, but still has plenty of sparkle.  When applied wet, it is STUNNING.  I usually use MAC's Fix+ spray, but you can definitely use eye drops or water as an alternative.  You do have to be careful when you open the container, otherwise the pigment can get everywhere!  I tend to put a small amount on the lid of the container, and then take my dampened brush and dip it into the lid.  Then you just tap off the excess and apply it where desired!  This color has definitely become one of my must-haves, and I wear it both day and night.  For going out, I'll just apply Blue Brown to the lid and deepen the outer v and crease with darker brown/black shades.  It's definitely a pigment that every skin tone can wear well!  The pictures don't do this shade justice; it's something that you must experience first-hand!
