Lush Skincare: A Few of My Faves

If you love to wear makeup, you know that a smooth canvas is the best canvas to work with.  Additionally, if you wear a full face on a daily basis, then you definitely need to invest in great skincare. Just taking makeup off with a wipe doesn't mean you have removed it all! There's tons of product that gets trapped in your pores and can possibly lead to future breakouts.

Lately, I've been hooked on Lush skincare.  Their products are handmade with natural ingredients, and very gentle on your skin.  The following are some of my absolute must-haves.  For reference, I have combination skin, mostly normal, but my T-zone tends to become a bit oily throughout the day.

1. Cup O' Coffee: This mask is full of coffee grounds, kaolin (to rid your skin of impurities), cocoa and more.  I typically leave this on for about 10-15 minutes, and scrub away.  My skin is left looking so much brighter and feels soft and clean.  This mask also features a strong coffee aroma that makes me feel more awake and lively!

2. Ultrabland: This product is a staple in my night time routine.  This cleanser features beeswax, honey, and rosewater and thoroughly removes my makeup.  I use this after I wash my face with my Clarisonic to ensure all makeup is removed.  You just take a small amount, put it on your face, and then wipe away with a washcloth.  Your skin is left feeling so moisturized, clean, and makeup-free!

3. Ocean Salt: I use Ocean Salt two times a week for a deep exfoliation, and also comes in a self-preserving version.  This scrub includes sea salt, avocado, and coconut and leaves your skin feeling so clean, yet moisturized.

4. Mask of Magnaminty: This mask smells just like mint chocolate chip ice cream!  Aside from that, it helps so much with blemishes and unclogging pores.  It features peppermint, clay, vanilla, and aduki beans.  I use this once a week or so, and it's really helped keep my skin clear.

5. Grease Lightning: This little guy is a life-saver!  It works as a spot treatment that you can put on any blemishes that are starting to form.  The sooner you use this, the less likely the blemish will reach the surface.  This gel is made with tea tree oil, thyme, and rosemary and you can just apply this with your hands or a Q-tip.

6. Tea Tree Water:  This is my favorite toner!  I use this right after I'm completely done washing my face.  It tones the skin and rids it of excess oil and redness.  I usually spray this on a cotton pad and wipe my face with it.  I would highly recommend this to anyone that's blemish-prone or oily skin.

There you have it!  These are some of my favorite Lush skin care products.  The best thing about Lush is that they offer free samples, so you can always try their products before you buy.  Hope you all enjoyed!

MAC Blue Brown Pigment

MAC Blue Brown Pigment

I've been hooked on MAC eyeshadows for years now, but it wasn't until earlier this year that I started purchasing their pigments.  So far, there are 45 pigments that are a part of MAC's permanent line, so there are definitely a lot of colors to choose from!  Furthermore, there are many different ways that you can use these pigments, such as eyeliner, highlighter, etc.
